Jun 29, 2008 XTERRA Race at the Rez

Indian Brook Reservoir, Essex, VT at 8:00 am.

This race course starts with a one lap (.75 miles) swim in the clear waters of Indian Brook Reservoir. All racers then head out on a two lap (10 miles) mountain biking course that starts with a climb bringing racers up to Overlook Point with fantastic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. Then it is a mixture of rolling terrain on twisty single-track trails. The run will be two laps (4 miles) around Indian Brook Reservoir on a rocky jeep track. This course will challenge and excite both the Newbie’s and Seasoned Vets alike!

This triathlon is one of over 40 points series races held in the United States. Competitors earn points based on their finishing place. Racers use these points to vie for the title of XTERRA Regional Champion thus qualifying for the XTERRA USA Championship held in Lake Tahoe at the end of the 2008 season.
