Summer Trail Status Update

The weather has been spotty recently, but the trails are riding well when dry. Please keep an eye on this page for updates on conditions.

Wondering if it has rained on our trails lately?
You can find a cool map of recent rainfall totals HERE!
We usually close the trails if 0.75"+ of rain falls in a day.

Please do not ride on closed trails.
Use of the trails while closed or muddy will jeopardize our access.

Send any trail condition updates to:
brooke@fotwheel.org

Trail Name Description Status
We have been fortunate to be able to build and enjoy the lower trails at Saxon Hill over the past few years (Om, Mo Flo, Paper Route, & Mid Flo). These trails have provided a wonderful experience for a multitude of users. It is always a privilege, rather than a right, when a landowner graciously allows access to their land. At present we need to close these lower trails, and the uppermost trail, until some issues are resolved. We hope that you will join us in being a part of the solution and ask that you use only the FLO trail, the main upper trail, until an agreement can be reached. We will be meeting with the landowners soon and hope to find a solution. In the meantime, please refrain from using the lower trails or the uppermost trail, MOJO.
Om, Mo Flo, Mid Flo, MoJo and Paper Route are CLOSED at the request of the landowner. Only the FLO Trail, accessed by the main roads, is currently open.
